Steven Rothfeld captures a dreamlike vision of France in 90 unique Polaroid transfer photographs. Created over seven years, these images blend landscapes, portraits, still lifes, and studies with a muted, vintage quality. Starting as 35 mm slides, they are transferred to Polaroid negatives and printed on art paper, producing an unpredictable, timeless effect.

Featuring an introduction by Richard Reeves, the book includes quotes from French natives and admirers like Proust, M.F.K. Fisher, Baudelaire, Van Gogh, W.S.
